Marite Männi. Pianist.

Marite Männi is a solo and collaborative pianist, praised for her ‘characterful, positively energized and thoroughly musical’ playing (Sirp).  She is a versatile artist who enjoys a multidimensional career as well giving her part in education, concert design and engagements in social work. She has performed in venues throughout Europe and the Indian Ocean, participated in competitions around Europe where she earned Awards and honourable mentions.  

Marite is passionate about finding ways to make concerts, music education accessible to a broader audience. In 2022 she was elected to be part of the TONALi Academy in Hamburg that aims its focus towards innovative and experimental concert design. Marite has conducted family concerts in the frame of Tallinn Chamber Music Festival. “(...) Marite Männi brought the event together in her charming manner.” Theatre.Music.Cinema, 2022 ​ Since 2021 together with the German Soprano, Lara Rieken, the Duo has been actively giving concerts and became a scholarship holder at Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now Frankfurt e.V. The Duo has been invited to perform in venues such as Château de Labourdonnais Mauritius, the Goethe Haus Frankfurt in the frame of the Friends of Alte Oper Evening, Daphne's Fest in Opelvillen, Rüsselsheim, and others. Fascinated about the nuanced German Kunstlied, Marite is currently perfecting her studies as collaborative Lied-Duo pianist in the State University of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart with prof. Götz Payer. After finishing her Bachelor’s degree at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theater, she moved to Frankfurt to continue her studies and gained her Masters and Artist Diploma in Solo Piano in the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts. Her teachers include Prof. Peep Lassmann, Prof. Alexej Gorlatch, Christopher Park, Einav Yarden and Dmitry Ablogin. Männi´s studies have been supported by DeutschlandSTIPENDIUM during her postgraduate education in HfMDK. Furthermore she has participated in masterclasses with Leif Ove Andsens, Christian Hadland, Sophia Rahman, Alexander Kobrin, Hedayet Djeddikar, Thilo Dahlmann, and many others. Since 2021 she is the recipient of the arteMusica Foundation für Kunst und Kultur.
